Super Sprinkles Racing exists to make cycling and racing accessible to women, transgender, femme and other under-represented new riders in the San Francisco Bay Area.
A race team built around who shows up.
The inaugural team was formed in 2021 by avid cyclists in San Francisco who were attentive to the lack of diversity within the cycling and racing communities. The answer was a team with an unusually simple door: membership was granted on interest to race.
The team brought in coaching expertise from Sofi Marin, a former pro-cyclist and now cycling coach, to serve as team coach and directeur sportif. Super Sprinkles Racing is a 501(c)3 non-profit.
